A walk around the Smeetham Hall farm at Bulmer by kind permission of Anthony and Bridget Hyde-Parker, looking at various heritage
assets and discussing management strategies.
Managing a Masterpiece and the Suffolk Wildlife Trust are sponsoring a number of farm walks to provide insights into the management of heritage assets for landowners and land managers. A key aim is to aid and improve decision-making with regard to the heritage assets that form part of the historic landscape.
The event will start at the Smeetham Hall Barn Barn, next to Smeetham Hall off Smeetham Hall Lane, Bulmer and will meander through the local countryside with talks by a number of experts as we move through the landscape.
Experts will include; Chris Burton Managing a Masterpiece, Juliet Hawkins Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Simone Bullion Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Charlotte Curtis Natural England, Edward Martin Suffolk County Council Archaeological Service, Neil Catchpole Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Project.
The walk is specifically aimed at local landowners and land managers who are working in and managing this quintessential English lowland landscape. If you are interested in attending the walk please email Juliet Hawkins of Suffolk Wildlife Trust
