Celebrating the Masterpiece

This programme seeks to encourage the local community and traditionally under-represented groups to enjoy the Stour Valley’s heritage assets and cultural associations through increased understanding, involvement and quality visits.

Project Introduction

This Programme has 4 Projects and 19 outputs.  A summary of each Project is given below:

Project 3a: The View from the Tower

Description:

Churches in the Valley are important cultural landmarks and landscape features. This Project will use the towers as view points with images taken to enable a virtual tour of the Stour Valley using 360 degree panoramic photographs taken from church towers.

Project 3b: Raising the Profile of the Valley

Description:

This Project seeks to raise people’s awareness through new web sites, the production of the Stour Valley Heritage Compendium, dissemination of leaflets, art exhibitions, school outreach projects, photography projects and the engagement of under-represented groups in the Stour Valley.

Project 3c: Increasing Access not Traffic

Description:

This Project seeks to improve the visitor experience by reducing car use in the Stour Valley and encouraging sustainable forms of transport.

Project 3d: New Masterpieces

Description:

This Project seeks to celebrate the artistic associations of the Stour Valley by facilitating art exhibitions and art workshops for new artists, school groups and traditionally under-represented groups in the Stour Valley.
